Queries may be defined and saved for re-use. Redundant tables can be hidden from access, as can redundant fields within tables. Results can be split into up to 3 hierarchies (for example: customers in one grid, orders of selected customer in a second grid, and order lines of selected order shown in a third grid).
In addition, the results may be sorted and grouped up to 16 levels. Grouping also enables an associated Group Tree View that facilitates quick repositioning to any selected group item in the grid.

The integrated report designer (new with version 2) is a banded report designer that allows the user to easily manipulate the results of any query and present the information according to the user requirements.

Results can be directly exported to XML, Excel, CSV or directly into a NuVu graphical report (optionally saved as a PDF).

There is a powerful charting capability that allows for results to be graphically represented and linked back to the results grid (as well as for charts being able to be represented in the report layout).

A scheduler tool is also included within the suite, allowing predefined queries to be submitted on a regular basis (eg: daily, weekly, monthly, annually) - the results of these queries able to be sent to any legal destination (optionally via email or fax) - for example directly to an excel spreadsheet, a PDF document, XML, CSV etc.

The Query tool uses native sockets to communicate with the databases, resulting in vastly improved performance times over other products that communicate via ODBC drivers to the underlying database(s). Even better performance is achieved when the tool is deployed in a wide-area network environment.

Version 2.3 introduces the NuVu Dashboard, that allows multiple queries to be shown on a single dashboard container. RSS Feeds may also be added as objects to the container. Queries that are shown both as a chart and grid are automatically hyper-linked - so clicking on a piece of a pie chart will automatically reposition to the associated row on the grid.
